St. Louis Office for DD Resources

Mission: to ensure individuals with developmental disabilities in the City of St. Louis have quality services, choices, and full inclusion.

Horizon Club

Horizon Club is a 24-hour drop in center for individuals without homes, operated by DD Resources. It is also funded by Housing and Urban Development through the St. Louis City Department of Human Services. The City of St. Louis Department of Human Services and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, both seek to end homelessness.

Horizon Club offers membership and guest services to people without homes, especially those with disabilities. The Horizon Club features computer games, internet access, and satellite television as well as showers and lockers. This center is a safe place to spend time relaxing in a quiet recreation.

While the Horizon Club is not a shelter nor does it have beds, a limited number of transitional housing apartments are available off site for qualified members. For questions regarding Transitional Housing contact Erika Donaldson, Transitional Housing Coordinator at edonaldson@stldd.org or (314) 436-1733.

The Horizon Club serves as a center for information about available community services. Visiting agencies offer information on housing, transportation, employment, food, clothing, long-term case management, medical, dental, and other services.

Members have a voice in how the Club operates. Membership meetings provide an opportunity to communicate concerns and ideas for improvement.

Donations are welcomed! Items most needed include SOCKS & UNDERWEAR (all sizes), travel size toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc.), sewing kits, dental hygiene needs (toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, etc.), first aid supplies, and individual servings of prepackaged food. Their primary wish list items are socks and underwear.
