Description: The Project Inc. Sheltered Workshop provides support to individuals with developmental disabilities for the enhancement of their employment and the removal of employment barriers. The goal is for the individual to maintain long term employment of their choice in a safe, dignified, healthful, and productive work environment. This program has provided intervention and supports for employees by addressing negative issues, minimizing the impact of negative issues, and assisting employees in improving and developing relationships both at work and home. These supports and interventions improve an employees' chance for employment retention.
The Pre-Sheltered Workshop is designed to provide training for persons with disabilities that allows them to gain the skills, levels of productivity, work behavior, and work ethic necessary to meet the entrance criteria for employment in a sheltered workshop. The program is designed to provide assistance, support and training for the employee/consumer that has little or no previous work experience.
